Nineteen-year-old midfield prospect Adam Reach has agreed a new four-year deal at Middlesbrough.

Manager Tony Mowbray is said to be delighted at the continuing development of the teenager who netted a superb goal in the victory against Burnley last month.

That was his second career goal and followed his debut strike against Doncaster Rovers on the final day of the 2010-11 season.

“He’s a young player who is progressing well and we’re pleased he’s committed his future to us,” Mowbray told Boro’s official website. “He’s done exceptionally well and deserves his contract. We hope he sees this as a place to develop his skills.”
