Arsenal’s Hoyte To Replace Young

Just hours after the news filtered through about Luke Young’s shock move to Villa on the verge of going through, it seems that Southgate has already come up with a replacement.

Gareth Southgate is set to move for the 23-year-old who sat out most of last season at The Emirates due to Sagna and Eboue being preferred ahead of the former England U21.

Southgate will fund the move with the direct sale of Luke Young to Aston Villa, which is likely to go through in the next 24 hours.

It would be a good bit of business if Southgate can capture Justin Hoyte for less than £3million.

It will be sad to see Luke Young leave the Riverside but that is football. Let’s hope the Boro boss can get another right back Justin time before the Spurs game.

Do you think Justin Hoyte would be a good replacement? Or do we need someone with a bit more experience?

Hoye is not proven at Premier League leve but you look at the players that have moved from Arsenal to other clubs and have been succeses e.g Bentley, Sidwell, Upson, Aliadiere

Hoyte fits what Gareth wants, young and hungry and he could be a great bargain just like Youngy was last year.

Hoyte will do a good job for any (no offence meant) midtable club, he can play LB, RB and emergency CB if needed, he’s blisteringly quick and has a good verticle leap. Should be about £3million + sell on fee’s if he goes. Personally I think he’ll want to stay at Arsenal, he’s a gooner through and through and loves the club.

I know he is Arsenal through and through but I think Arsenal should let him go. its not fair on him to always sit behind Sagna, he deserves at least to be playing. its not like he is 19 or 20, he is 23 now and needs regular games. I hope this move goes through.

Wenger would never hold someone as young and loyal as Justin Hoyte at the club, especially since he has no garauntee of first team football. He will always let the lads go if it will further thier footballing education and career. Unllike most managers, he does give a s*it what happens to the youngsters after they leave the club.

Would be a good buy but Tony McMahon should be given a run in the side first.

He’ll be good for you guys if it happens. He is extremely underated in my opinion. Not good enough ever to play for Arsenal 1st team reguarly maybe, but would be a great signing for a any team aiming to push for Uefa cup. At full-back though, he seems shaky at CB. He’s got a good attitude and is hungry for success, whilst he has also shown the patience to wait for his chance at Arsenal. Good luck to him.

Hoyte is crap hes got no positional sense and his passing is rubbish, he would be okay for about 1 million, but i seen him against juventus and he was rubbish, its okay you arsenal fans saying hes no good for us but he will be good for you at the end of the day he aint any good, and all you lot are trying to talk his price up, when you all know he aint no good.
Id go for Finnan offer Liverpol 1 million he’s miles better and a regular premiership performer.
