Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup believes his side could be lining-up against Middlesbrough in the Premier League next season.

Boro are tackling the Welsh club in their Capital One Cup quarter-final at the Liberty Stadium later this evening with the Dane openly admitting they certainly have the capability of hurting his team.

“Middlesbrough are one of my favourites to play in the Premier League next year,” Laudrup said in the Evening Gazette. “We have studied them closely. They are a good team with good players.

“Middlesbrough are a threat to us,” he continued. “They are third in the Championship, they are going very well in this cup, and they won away against a Premier League team with a good performance last time. They will believe they can do it again.”
