Middlesbrough must travel to local rivals Sunderland in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup following tonight’s draw.

The tie takes place week beginning Monday 29th October for a place in the last eight of the competition.

It’s a fourth successive away draw this season and eleventh in total for Boro, who have already taken care of Bury, Gillingham and Preston North End in the earlier rounds.

Sunderland secured their place in the fourth round courtesy of a 2-0 win at MK Dons on Tuesday evening.

Elsewhere, Chelsea host Manchester United in the most outstanding tie while Liverpool’s new boss Brendan Rodgers faces former club Swansea City at Anfield.
