Middlesbrough are reported as tracking Brighton midfielder David Lopez.
The 30-year-old right-sided player is out of contract on the south-coast this summer and is yet to be offered new terms.
Lopez scored nine times in 35 games last season, including against Boro at the Riverside in April, following his arrival on a one-year deal from Athletic Bilbao.
Meanwhile, Boro have similarly been linked with his Brighton midfield colleague Gary Dicker, 26, formerly of Stockport County.
