Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw could be on the verge of a move to Championship rivals Leeds United.

Boro have already placed a £2.5m valuation on the 26-year-old schemer, according to the Teesside Gazette, which has in turn alerted the attention of fellow promotion hopefuls Cardiff City.

The Elland Road club were also recently linked with Forshaw’s midfield colleague Adam Clayton, although it is the former now listed as their chief target.

Forshaw is still to feature for the Teessiders since the appointment of Tony Pulis as manager last month.
