Middlesbrough once again search for their third win since the turn of the year as Nottingham Forest visit the Riverside this evening.

Boro are definitely without midfielder Grant Leadbitter as he begins a two-match suspension for collecting his tenth caution of the season at the weekend.

On loan striker Ishmael Miller isn’t eligible either under the terms of the arrangement with tonight’s visitors and fellow forward Lukas Jutkiewicz is currently struggling with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Moroccan midfielder Merouane Zemmama also suffered an ankle problem last time out and Dutchman Marvin Emnes (hamstring) continues to be monitored.

However, Kieron Dyer should be available to return but George Friend (hamstring), Julio Arca (toe) and Emmanuel Ledesman (ankle) appear unlikely to play again this season.

“If I was a Boro fan I would be wondering what’s going on but believe me, we’re leaving no stone unturned,” manager Tony Mowbray told Boro’s official website. “We’re all searching and working very hard and looking for the answers. Being a Boro fan since the age of six I’ve seen the highs and lows.

“If you’re a Boro fan you support the team and if you can afford to you come and watch them,” he continued. “For me, you support your hometown club. You support the team your father took you to watch through thick and thin.”

The visitors are lacking striker Darius Henderson through suspension after his dismissal during their weekend defeat at Cardiff City.

That could prompt a return to the side for ex-West Bromwich Albion marksman Simon Cox while Stephen McLaughlin (ankle) remains on the sidelines.
