Middlesbrough have slapped a £1m price-tag on wantaway striker Lukas Jutkiewicz.

Boro are needing to raise cash from the proposed sales of Jutkiewicz and fellow forward Marvin Emnes to fund their own player recruitment this summer.

The 26-year-old former Everton and Coventry City striker has been on loan at Bolton Wanderers while their Lancashire neighbours Blackburn Rovers were also believed to be keen.

The Teessiders have already been linked with Bournemouth’s Lewis Grabban as a potential replacement but Cardiff City were remaining favourites.
