Middlesbrough have cancelled the contract of midfielder Adlene Guedioura by mutual consent.
The 32-year-old Algerian international moved to the Riverside from Watford exactly twelve months ago.
But he went on to make only a handful of substitute appearances for the Teessiders last season.
Guedioura was then overlooked following the arrival of Garry Monk as manager, until finally making his full debut on New Year’s Day at Preston North End.
He immediately returns to former club Nottingham Forest on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
