Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray is ready to move into the available loan market.

The Boro chief is still keen on recruiting a central defender and striker having failed to fulfil his requirements on transfer deadline day.

Mowbray remains interested in Norwich City pair Daniel Ayala and Luciano Becchio. Spanish defender Ayala had a loan stint with Nottingham Forest last season while Argentine striker Becchio is also understood to have attracted interest from both Reading and Brighton,

But other names being linked include West Bromwich Albion’s Craig Dawson, Shane Duffy at Everton and Manchester United youngster Michael Keane.
