Middlesbrough are set to complete the signing of former Real Mallorca winger Emilio Nsue on a three-year deal.
The 24-year-old has been chased by the Teessiders for a number of months and was watched extensively by them last season.
He has since been released by the Spanish second tier outfit and Boro head coach Aitor Karanka made his move.
Nsue can also fill in at full-back or wing-back, but it is in the attacking third where he is almost certain to be used.
