Middlesbrough have signed their England Under-17 skipper Bryn Morris on a three-year deal.

Morris is already highly-rated at the club and actually made his senior debut as a sixteen-year-old last season. That prompted interest from a whole host of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Boro have also handed a similar contract to fellow England Under-17 international Bradley Fewster.

Added to those, Brazilian pair Rafael Pereira and Marcos Rhoden, who arrived as part of the deal with Juninho’s club Ituano, have both agreed one-year deals, with Boro Academy graduates Lewis Sirrell and Matthew Waters each receiving twelve-month contracts.

“I’d like to congratulate all the players and wish them well in their careers,” manager Tony Mowbray told Boro’s official website. “They all know there is a lot of hard work ahead, but they have been given a chance and I’d like to think that’s what we do at this club, give good players a chance.”
