Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has hailed the talent of Argentine forward Emmanuel Ledesma.

The 24-year-old curled in his third goal since arriving from Walsall in the summer during last night’s 3-0 victory against Huddersfield Town.

“The kid’s got talent,” Mowbray told SkySports. “We watched him last year and yet he spent most of the first dozen or so games sitting on the bench learning how to play for us because he loves the game so much. He runs around everywhere and just wants to play like a kid in the school year.”

Boro’s win was sufficient to move them back up to third in the table ahead of visiting Birmingham City on Friday evening.
