Middlesbrough head coach Aitor Karanka was left frustrated after witnessing their 0-0 draw with Blackburn Rovers at the Riverside.

It marked a third successive scoreless encounter for misfiring Boro, who have now failed to find the target in any of their last four games.

“It’s frustrating for me because we didn’t play well against Doncaster, and we didn’t deserve to win the game against Wigan but [against Blackburn] we had a lot of chances,” Karanka told BBC Sport. “We didn’t score but that’s football and I’m more confident than I was after the last game.

“The keeper did very, very well and stopped us so we have to improve with our chances,” he added.
