Middlesbrough have a trip to the capital this weekend as they tackle mid-table Brentford at Griffin Park.

The Teessiders have risen back into the play-offs after striker Patrick Bamford’s recent goalscoring exploits helped them towards three successive victories.

Boro were waiting on their Spanish defender Daniel Ayala, who is currently struggling with a groin injury.

But in positive news, Grant Leadbitter has recovered from hamstring trouble while also completing his suspension for accumulating ten yellow cards.

Either Jonny Howson or Adam Clayton would likely make way should the midfielder be recalled, with full-back Fabio da Silva still working back to fitness and striker Rudy Gestede already out for the season.

The Bees are reinforced by the returns of Florian Jozefzoon and Henrik Dalsgaard, although Andreas Bjelland and Rico Henry are still unavailable.
