Middlesbrough coach Mark Proctor hopes the fans really turn out in big numbers against Sheffield Wednesday at the Riverside on Friday evening.

Boro could actually go top of the table with another victory after they were forced to eventually settle for a scoreless draw at Nottingham Forest last night.

That brought to an end their recent impressive record of six straight wins, although they still remain in second place behind latest leaders, Crystal Palace.

“Hopefully we can continue our form on Friday,” Proctor told the Northern Echo. “It would have been nice for seven wins in a row going into that. Hopefully we will get a great attendance and the fans will turn up in their numbers and this result has helped.”
