Defender Cyrus Christie admits to rediscovering his confidence since moving to the Riverside.
The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international joined the Teessiders over the summer after rather losing his way at former club Derby County.
“Going to Boro is like a new lease of life,” Christie admitted to Boro’s official website. “My time at Derby, at times it was tough and I wasn’t enjoying it.
“At Boro, the manager [Garry Monk] has given me some belief and the confidence to enjoy my football, and given me freedom and license within my game to do what I can do, and I’m really enjoying it,” he added. “The lads are great and my confidence is sky-high. I’m playing well, I’m playing every game.”
