Xavier is understood to be preparing a statement on his ban following a failed drugs test today. The 32 year old is expected to announce whether he will contest the decision and positive result, following his random test before the Xanthi match on September 29.
He has been suspended by Fifa from all competitions, although the substance for which the test was positive is unknown.
