Middlesbrough head coach Aitor Karanka was pleased to sign-off in style at the weekend.
The Teessiders ran out comfortable 4-1 victors at already-relegated Yeovil Town to eventually secure themselves a mid-table finish in the Championship.
“I’m very happy because we won six of the last eight games and that’s important for next season,” Karanka told Boro’s official website. “It was a difficult game for them because Yeovil were relegated last week and we were good, we created a lot of chances.
“The players took the games seriously and played the game the same as they would if we were playing for the points,” he added. “That’s important because for me it’s always important to win games because that shows you have a winning mentality.”
