Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele wants no more talk of a slump at the Riverside.
Boro have suffered three straight league defeats but still remain only three points away from an automatic promotion place ahead of visiting Ipswich Town this weekend.
“We’re two or three points away from second place, so anyone who says we’re having a slump I’d disagree with,” Steele told the Northern Echo. “We’re still right in the hunt and if we win a couple of games we’re right back in with a chance of going up automatically.”
Meanwhile, the Teessides have confirmed their FA Cup fifth round tie with either Chelsea or Brentford will be staged on Wednesday 27th February (kick-off 7.45).
