Goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos has signed a new one-year contract at Middlesbrough.

That’s despite the veteran 38-year-old failing to make a Premier League appearance as the Teessiders were relegated last season.

Former Hartlepool United and Coventry City shot-stopper Konstantopoulos has though still completed over a century of games during four years at the Riverside.

His opportunities should improve this time around with both Brad Guzan and Victor Valdes having recently departed the club, thus leaving Connor Ripley and Tomas Mejias as his current rivals.
