Goalkeeper Jason Steele was a double-award winner at Middlesbrough’s official end-of-season ceremony.

The England Under-21 international claimed both the ‘Player of the Year’ and ‘Young Player of the Year’ titles decided by the players and staff at the club.

It’s the second successive season that Steele has grabbed the young player award after becoming the first ever-present in the league for Boro since Stewart Downing five years ago.

Meanwhile, defender George Friend was the recipient of the ‘Players’ Player of the Year’ accolade.
