Middlesbrough are in action when travelling to meet Leeds United at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 1.15pm).

That means a first return for manager Garry Monk to the club he quit for Boro at the end of last season.

Their Republic of Ireland international defender Cyrus Christie misses out through a one-game suspension after receiving his fifth caution during the recent victory against Sunderland.

Striker Rudy Gestede [thigh] was also expected to remain sidelined despite getting closer to a recall.

The hosts have lost six of their previous seven league games but could welcome back striker Caleb Ekuban [foot] for the first time since August.

Winger Stuart Dallas should also recover from a slight knock in what appears likely to be a full-strength squad.
