Middlesbrough host the side currently a couple of places lower than them in the table, Fulham, at the Riverside this weekend.

Manager Tony Pulis admitted there were a couple of unnamed players reporting “minor knocks” and requiring checking prior to kick-off.

Boro have an excellent record at home to their latest visitors and are unbeaten in their previous thirteen league meetings.

Meanwhile, they will be looking to build upon recent back-to-back victories against Preston North End and, in the FA Cup, neighbours Sunderland.

The Cottagers have a doubt regarding captain Tom Cairney [knee] while Floyd Ayite [calf] is already out of contention.

However, goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli and midfielder Kevin McDonald could both return having resumed training.
