Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray was full of praise for midweek match-winner Curtis Main after scoring for the second successive game.

The 20-year-old prospect followed up his weekend effort against Barnsley with an 81st minute header to finally account for Leeds United at the Riverside on Tuesday evening.

However, the former Darlington striker was then unfortunately sent-off for collecting a couple of rapid yellow cards.

“His finishing with both feet is breathtaking at times,” Mowbray told the Daily Star. “Whether the ball drops to his right foot or his left, he doesn’t hesitate. For such a young player, he’s got amazing qualities.”
