Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has admitted to reassessing pre-match preparations following four straight Championship defeats.
Boro are without a single league point since the turn of the year and have in turn slipped to sixth in the table – although still only six points off an automatic promotion place.
“I have spent a lot of time looking at what we do,” Mowbray told BBC Tees. “We have changed a few things to try to snap out of things that could be the stereotype, so we look for reasons.
“It’s not as if we’re talking about four disastrous performances – we have two poor and one and a half decent ones, but it’s hard to put our finger on it,” he added.
Boro at least have the opportunity of getting firmly back on track with successive home games against Barnsley and Leeds United over the coming week.
