Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray was understandably disappointed after his side slipped to another defeat courtesy of a solitary David Nugent strike at Leicester City.

His frustration was compounded as Boro substitute Marvin Emnes had an injury-time penalty saved by Kasper Schmeichel in the 1-0 loss at the King Power Stadium.

As a result, Boro remain in fifth place in the table while their opponents moved up to second but still seven points behind the leaders.

“I’m unbelievably disappointed – I thought we did enough not to lose the game,” Mowbray told BBC Sport. “We created more than enough chances to get something from the game against a good Leicester side who have been scoring freely.

“But we didn’t stick the ball in the back of the net and goals change games,” he admitted.
