No change in style from Boro

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray says there will be no change in playing style despite the recent slump at the Riverside.

Boro have won only once since the New Year and have lost seven of their nine league games while slipping out of the play-offs.

“We tried to play and tried to do the right things,” Mowbray told BBC Tees. “There’s no point throwing everything in the bin and scrapping it, we have to do what we believe in.

“I can understand the frustration, but if that’s how we’ve won the games that got us there, we have to continue to do that,” he added.

The Teessiders can at least forget their recent woes as they entertain Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday evening, although they soon follow that with the arrival of Championship leaders Cardiff City on Saturday.
