Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray won’t be allowing any of his younger players out on loan until his revised squad is fully intact.

Mowbray is currently working on rebuilding for the the new campaign but fringe members like Adam Reach, Luke Williams and Curtis Main could yet be involved.

Meanwhile, Matty Dolan, Ben Gibson, Charlie Wyke and Adam Jackson all gained valuable experience elsewhere last season and the same may apply this time around to such as Jordan Jones and Bryn Morris.

“Some first and second division managers have phoned me, but I can’t tell them that they are going to have this player or that player because I don’t know what my squad is going to look like,” Mowbray told the Evening Gazette. “What I do say to those people is there is a potential for it to happen and if we do get those players we want to sign, then player X from our squad might become available, so phone again at the end of pre-season.”
