Outgoing goalkeeper Jason Steele insists he has no problems with Middlesbrough head coach Aitor Karanka.

The 24-year-old has joined Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan after appearing only twice under the Spaniard.

“We never argued. In football sometimes people come in and have opinions,” Steele told BBC Radio Lancashire. “I’d never hold bad feeling or grudges over it.”

The former England Under-21 keeper was sent-off against Leeds United in Karanka’s first game in charge last November and wasn’t selected again until the final day of last season.
