Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele was eagerly looking forward to one of his biggest-ever games for the club later this evening.

Championship promotion-hopefuls Boro face a highly-rated Swansea City side at the Liberty Stadium for a place in the last four of the Capital One Cup.

The visitors are actually playing their twelfth successive away tie in the competition and have already knocked out Bury, Gillingham, Preston North End and Sunderland on their travels this season.

“It’s a big occasion for the players. It is one of my biggest games for Boro and hopefully we can reward the fans and get to Wembley,” Steele told the Northern Echo. “All our games in this competition have been away from home this season so that has given us a lot of confidence that we can travel to anywhere and get a result.”
