New striker Lee Tomlin says he sees no reason why Middlesbrough shouldn’t be in the promotion race next season.
While the 25-year-old concedes it’s going to be very tough to make it this time around, he certainly feels Boro will be up there challenging next term.
“Everyone wants to play in the Premier League and I am no different,” Tomlin told the Evening Gazette. “It will be hard for us to make it this season but, if we don’t, we`ll definitely be aiming for promotion next season.
“We just need to kick on and make that final push,” he continued.
“Even if there’s nothing to play for, you want to work really hard, you want to win, nobody likes losing – we have to keep going until the final minute of the final match.”
