Striker Kevin Doyle could still be a target of Middlesbrough after Wolverhampton Wanderers invited offers for their Republic of Ireland international.
The 30-year-old was previously linked with the Teessiders for a January loan move but still hopes for a chance to shine in the Premier League with promoted Queens Park Rangers.
Loanee Doyle was in the Rangers side which triumphed in their Championship play-off final with Derby County at the weekend. He was though withdrawn after less than an hour and watched on as substitute Bobby Zamora grabbed a dramatic late winner.
Wolves definitely want to sell the former Reading marksman and are open to offers for a player who has a year left on his current contract.
