Recent signing Lee Tomlin should be available for Middlesbrough’s weekend visit to Bournemouth.
The former Peterborough United striker limped out of the first-half of the midweek draw with Nottingham Forest after taking a kick to the ankle.
However, head coach Aitor Karanka remains confident the £1.5m deadline day signing will recover in time.
Meanwhile, skipper Jonathan Woodgate was also expected to return having missed the last couple of games with a calf problem.
