Middlesbrough are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Adama Traore in the three nil victory over Bolton Wanderers at the weekend at the Macron Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Traore was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Britt Assombalonga deserves a mention for grabbing two goals in the 3-0 win at Bolton Wanderers, but he`ll be the first to admit that he couldn`t have achieved the feat without the magic of Traore. The former Barcelona man showed persistence, power and pace on the wing, putting two goals on a plate for his Boro team-mate.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Traore for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Sam Johnstone (Aston Villa), Daniel Jones (Notts County), Krystian Pearce (Mansfield Town), Tony McMahon (Bradford City), Sean McConville (Accrington Stanley), Bradley Johnson (Derby County), Kieran Lee (Sheffield Wednesday), Adama Traore (Middlesbrough), Pierre-Michel Lasogga (Leeds United), Chris Porter (Crewe Alexandra), Kieffer Moore (Rotherham United).

Manager – Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (Northampton Town).
