Manager Tony Pulis said Middlesbrough had enough chances to win the game following the scoreless draw with Sheffield Wednesday at the Riverside.

The Teessiders dominated the action with defender Ben Gibson denied and Patrick Bamford, Ryan Shotton, Daniel Ayala and Stuart Downing also going close.

“We created enough opportunities and enough chances to win the game,” Pulis told BBC Tees. “I thought at times we played some good football even when we were chasing the game.

“The club has invested a lot of money in the front line and we need them to come to the party,” he warned.

Boro remain eighth in the table and currently three points short of the play-offs.
