Manager Tony Pulis has called for Middlesbrough to be more clinical in front of goal following their late FA Cup exit to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Teessiders fell to substitute Glen Murray’s 90th minute winner after George Friend’s attempted clearance rebounded off him into the net at the Riverside.

“I’m disappointed again for the players who have worked so hard again,” Pulis admitted to BBC Sport. “But we’ve got to be more clinical in the final third.

“It’s a fortuitous goal they’ve scored, it’s a nightmare for us in respect of the players don’t deserve it, exactly the same as against Fulham,” he added. “I just hope it’s all the bad luck out of the way, because that’s what it’s been.
