Goalkeeper Jason Steele believes the recent win at Watford will serve as a massive boost to his colleagues.
Recalled striker Scott McDonald netted the winner on his first appearance of the season after Marvin Emnes had cancelled out Troy Deeney’s first-minute opener.
Boro achieved the victory, the third in succession on their travels, despite having ten players currently sidelined through injury.
“The result was massive. We went away happy,” Steele told the Northern Echo. “We’ve got a few injuries and hopefully some of those will be back by the time we go to Brighton.
“We had played better than that and lost games this season,” he added. “To come away with the three points, we were very happy and we move on to the next.”
