Middlesbrough have had a bid accepted for teenage Bury striker George Miller.

The eighteen-year-old travelled to the north-east after a deal was agreed between the clubs last night.

The undisclosed fee could rise in the future, with a number of add-ons and sell-on clauses included, while the Shakers also have the first option of a loan back.

“There are a lot of add-ons and sell-on clauses attached to this deal,” Bury chairman Stewart Day told the Bury Times. “It is a very good deal for the football club.

“He is a good young lad but he still has a lot to learn,” he added. “We just felt the deal was right. The whole deal makes the club good money and the time was right to move on.”
