Following successive victories without conceding a goal, Middlesbrough visit Leeds United for a televised lunchtime kick-off on Saturday afternoon (12.15pm).

Midfielder Adam Clayton should make his debut against his former club having arrived from Huddersfield Town earlier this week.

“I’m very happy because he is a player we wanted,” head coach Aitor Karanka told Boro’s official website. “The club worked well to bring him here.

“Adam will improve us,” he promised. “He knows the league, he is an English player, and he is a very good signing. He can bring something different.”

Newcomers Billy Sharp and Liam Cooper may earn debuts for the hosts but Giuseppe Bellusci is still awaiting international clearance.

Otherwise, Gaetano Berardi is suspended after being sent-off in their midweek Capital One Cup victory over Accrington Stanley.
