Middlesbrough already have a doubt over midfielder Grant Leadbitter for the visit of Huddersfield Town tomorrow evening.

The 26-year-old was left limping at the end of the weekend home defeat to Bristol City after taking an earlier knock.

Wearside-born Leadbitter has been an ever-present in the side since arriving from Ipswich Town in the summer.

“We’ll have to wait and see on Grant,” manager Tony Mowbray told the Northern Echo. “He’s played just about every minute of every game this season. He keeps going, and I’m sure that if he has a chance of being fit on Tuesday, he’ll be out there with his boots on.”

Mowbray must also make a decision over Josh McEachran after admitting the on loan Chelsea midfielder began to appear rather weary as the hosts slipped to a surprise 3-1 defeat to their struggling visitors.

“I just thought Josh looked a bit tired. We asked the two central midfielders to do a lot of work and I thought he got a bit tired as the game went on,” he added. “The two of them put a hard shift in.”

That news will alert Nicky Bailey, Richie Smallwood and Kevin Thomson, who are currently awaiting their chance.
