Middlesbrough winger Albert Adomah certainly isn’t fazed by Ghana’s ‘Group of Death’ at the World Cup, which starts on Thursday.

The Africans begin their campaign next Monday evening against the United States before then facing up to the might of Group G rivals Germany and Portugal.

“People are saying it is the ‘Group of Death’ but I don’t see it like that,” Adomah told the Evening Gazette. “Yes, it is a tough group, and to be honest it is not the group you would pick for yourself.

“But they are all tough groups. It is not like we are in with Brazil and Argentina,” he reasoned. “And the way I see it is that the other teams in there will all take points off each other. The two big boys won’t want to lose against each other and if they draw, then they only have to draw one more game and that opens the door to us.”
