Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson has made an official offer for 23-year-old Justin Hoyte.
Boro’s number one fan spoke to SkySports this afternoon.
‘We have submitted a bid and that’s with Arsenal, we are waiting for Arsenal to respond.’
This is good news ahead of Saturdays game against Tottenham where the right-back position was looking a little inexperienced until now.
Hopefully Arsenal will do us a favour and accept the bid just in time for the Spurs game. I’m sure they would want us to do well against them so it’s their best interests as well.

He’d be a good signing for you, but I dont think he wants to leave.
I think he will slot in perfectly as that shock bid for luke young has left us inexperienced in that position but i think hoyte is just the answer plus he is young and will make a great investment for the future
Said it before and i will say it again, no matter who we get i hope McMahon is given his chance first as he deserves it.
Yeah i think every youngester deservers there chance but hes very unfit at the moment and hasnt had alot of games under his belt, also hes had a run of injurys so we cant expect him to play we in, week out i think we need sum exerience in that position and maybe give McMahon when he is fit enough and got more reserve games under his belt.
McMahon has been back in training since April, so should be 100% fit in training but just needs to get match fit by playing games.
Yeah i know what you mean but my cusin is in the academy second year real good player manager says he will be playing for the first-team soon but he says that he isnt that fit and even with match practice he’ll be out soon enough with another injury also he said that craddock, grounds and McMahon are all going next season as there not good enough.
I hope he’s not out with another injury any time soon but Hoyte will be a great right-back replacement for, as Luke said, the shock bid for Young by Villa.
We kinda need him in time for the new season but i can cope with McMahon or Rhys williams at the back i have more faith in rhys williams like.
