Head coach Aitor Karanka insists Middlesbrough must learn from their first Premier League defeat of the season to Crystal Palace.
Goals from Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha proved enough for the visitors after Daniel Ayala headed the Teessiders back into contention before the interval.
“If we don’t play with our intensity and style, which we didn’t in the first 45 minutes, it is the Premier League and we are going to pay,” Karanka warned Boro’s official website. “We have lost the game today but we can’t forget we are in a good position.
“I think it’s a really good game to learn, and we have to think about the future.”
