Middlesbrough attempt to bounce straight back from midweek disappointment when hosting Brentford at the Riverside on Saturday (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Teessiders were reporting no fresh injury concerns after their single-goal home defeat to Norwich City.

Striker Rudy Gestede remains out following thigh surgery but at least fellow forward Martin Braithwaite returned during the second-half of that game.

Winger Adama Traore was also recalled from a three-game suspension following his recent sending-off at former club Aston Villa.

Brentford will check on Danish international defender Andreas Bjelland [hamstring] after being replaced against Derby County in midweek.

Otherwise, Sergi Canos [ankle] is still unavailable but defender John Egan returns to action for a side with just a single league victory.
