With Sunday being the final day of the Premier League season of 2016/17, the Golden Glove Winner is now known.

It was a tight battle this year with a number of players keeping their hopes alive of lifting the Golden Glove as we went into the final few weeks of the season, but Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois finally won out with 16 clean sheets for the season with Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris second with 15. Manchester United and Southampton stoppers David de Gea and Fraser Forster were joint in third place with 14 each for the campaign.

Arsenal’s Petr Cech completed the top five.

The battle ultimately went down to the final few matches and Chelsea’s one nil victory over West Bromwich Albion gave Courtois the extra clean sheet he needed over Lloris to receive the Golden Glove for the campaign.
