It is understood that the Aussie International has become disillusioned with life at the Riverside under reports that the two have had a bust up.
Many fans have been dissapointed with the team this season and Schwarzer has came under fire from many fans for his inconsistent and under performing goalkeeping duties.
Reports are linking him with a move to spain, while Goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has been linked with a move to the Boro, although it is almost cirtain Sam Alardyce wont let one of his most consistent players leave.

Jones has shown himself throughout previous seasons when standing in for Schwarzer that he is more than able to take over the mantle and this will be the oppertunity for him to make his name.
One of the exceptional displays he has already produced this season was in the UEFA Cup against AZ Alkmaar. He also kept three clean sheets in a row last season when Schwarzer was away injured.
