Simple Transfers A Thing Of The Past

Middlesbrough transfer target David Di Michele of Italian side Torino has contradicted his agents previous claims by saying to an Italian newspaper that ‘My Future is Torino’.

Di Michele had been linked with a move to the Riverside as well as to a host of Italian teams, but it now appears as if he will stay with the Serie A side.

In other Boro news it appears more delays are occurring in another transfer, no not Didier Digard this time, but James Harper’s proposed move from Reading.

Steve Coppell yesterday confirmed on Reading’s official website ‘I don’t expect any players to move out of the club in the next week or so’, he said. ‘There has been a lot of talk but not a lot of reality. We have valuations and, if they are met, players may go’.

With the transfer market looking a tricky area this year it remains to be seen which of the targets Gareth Southgate will be able to bring in.
Let’s hope he can bring in a few more players after the capture of Marvin Emnes today.

There are so many imponderables with transfers. The clubs are as bad as the agents and players for pulling out on deals
