We have to sort it – Woodgate

Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate says his side must properly knuckle down if they are to experience a much-needed change of fortunes.

Another defeat at the weekend found the visitors failing to create anything of note during a 2-0 reversal at relegation-haunted Bristol City.

That proved the latest of a number of recent setbacks for Boro and their fading promotion hopes ahead of the weekend visit of Birmingham City.

“At the moment we are just really inconsistent and it’s not great,” Woodgate admitted to the Northern Echo. “It hasn’t deteriorated week in and week out. It’s not getting worse. It’s just staying on a level.

“I thought the win over Leeds and then Cardiff would be the spark for us. It wasn’t to be,” he added. “We will have to sort something out and really knuckle down. We say this week in and week out. It was just rubbish. It was horrible.”
