Head coach Aitor Karanka felt his Middlesbrough side should have been celebrating their third league victory of the season at champions Leicester City.
Boro twice led through goals from Alvaro Negredo but a couple of penalties from Riyad Mahrez and substitute Islam Slimani – with the second of those late in injury-time – denied them maximum points.
“We showed we are a good team and are playing well,” Karanka told BBC Sport. “We should have won the game and were better than them.
“It’s unfair to draw this game,” he added. “Our performances with and without the ball have been good. Against top teams, we have been really organised.”
